Cecil Elmer Pyatt

<p>Cecil Elmer Pyatt of Eldon, MO, formerly of Cuba, MO, was born on Thursday, November 17, 1932, in Cherryville, MO to Calvin Andy Pyatt and Pearl Elsie Collier Pyatt.&nbsp; He passed away at Eldon Nursing &amp; Rehab in Eldon, MO on Wednesday January 19, 2022 at the age of 89 years, 2 months, and 2 days.</p> <p>Cecil attended Cherryville High School.&nbsp;&nbsp; He moved to St. Louis MO where he worked as a baker for Nabisco for more than 30 years. In the spring of 1960 Cecil married Connie Souders and 6 children were born to this union. After her passing and his retirement from Nabisco, Cecil returned to the Cuba, MO area.&nbsp; He had accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at an early age and was an active member of Covenant Praise Church in Cuba, MO.&nbsp; He later married Mildred Self&nbsp;Drake on August 12, 1995 in Cherryville, MO and they enjoyed 26 years of marriage.&nbsp; He was a member of the Bakery and Confectionary Union.&nbsp; Cecil enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, vegetable gardening, and being outdoors.&nbsp; He especially loved going to auctions and spending time with his friends and&nbsp;family.</p> <p>Cecil was preceded in death by his parents Calvin and Pearl Pyatt; parents-in-law Jessie and Gladys Souders; wife Connie Souders Pyatt; son Darrell Pyatt; sister Stella Pyatt; half&nbsp;sisters Fannie (Franklin) Ware, Dora (Clarence) Seifert, and Gladys (Floyd) Green; half&nbsp;brother Lloyd (Ellen) Lea; and brother-in-law Albert Martin.</p> <p>Cecil is survived by his wife, Mildred Pyatt of Eldon, MO; children Pamela Pyatt, Joyce (John) Tolcou, and Charles Pyatt all of St. Louis, MO, Wanda Nivens of Cuba, MO and Mark Pyatt of Eldon, MO; step-son Pastor Tim (Sheri) Drake of Tuscumbia, MO; sister Lorene Martin of Steelville, MO; grandchildren Karen Tolcou (Chris) of Arnold, MO, Johnny Tolcou and Christina Tolcou both of St. Louis, MO, and Georgia (Cody) Branson of Sullivan, MO;&nbsp; step grandchildren Jessica (Joe) Gibbs, Jordan (Brandon) Bysor, and Jason (Jodie) Drake all of Lake of Ozark, MO; great grandchild Nathan Tolcou of Arnold, MO; step great grandchildren&nbsp; Andrew, Juliana, Alexandria, Jaxon, Knox, Lincoln, Uriah, and Barrett; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.</p> <p>Visitation was from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO.&nbsp; Funeral Service immediately followed at 12:00 PM on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, MO with Pastor Jeremiah Wilson officiating.&nbsp; Burial was at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cuba, MO.&nbsp; Memorials were suggested&nbsp;to the Alzheimer&rsquo;s Association.</p> <p>All arrangements under the direction of Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba MO.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

I took care of Cecil he would tell Mildred he was gonna marry me and take me to his mom's house. Cecil and I became so close. I could say so much but Cecil knows he was always worried bout me leaving and driving home. I'm gonna miss him so much my prayers are with family... Continue Reading
