Lory Jean Pratt

Lory Jean Fuller Pratt, 63, of Manti, UT, passed away on January 19, 2022 in Salt Lake City, UT. She was born on January 26, 1958 in Salt Lake City, UT to Richard Hale and Diana Jo Stephens Fuller.  He father passed away when she was young and she was adopted by Kenneth Dean Fuller.

Lory was born in Salt Lake City, UT, but grew up in the San Diego area of southern California. She excelled scholastically in high school, and became one of two of the first ever female members of the track team of her high school. She was also a medical assistant for her high school football team, and took care of many sideline player injuries. She was also an avid surfer in her teenage years. She attended Snow College, Ephraim, Utah, where she earned an associates degree. 

Over several years, she bore 9 children, and participated significantly in the raising of other children. She loved being a mother and a care giver, and took that role very seriously. Lory married John W. Pratt on August 25, 2004 in Manti, UT. Starting at that point that Lory accompanied her husband on many business trips, that gave her the opportunity to travel to many locations in the continental United States, from Florida, to Rhode Island, to Wisconsin, to Oregon, California, and nearly all of the states in between. She enjoyed recording these travels on a map of the United States she kept in her room. In addition to being a devoted mother, she was a conscientious and loving wife, and is deeply missed. 

She is survived by her husband, John; and children: Barry, Alma, Cassandra, Karen, Samuel, Timothy, Joseph, Elizabeth, and Hannah. She is survived by step-daughters: Rose and Phyllis; as well as her sister Donna Gilmore. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Diana Fuller.  

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Magleby Mortuary, Manti. Friends may call prior to services at the mortuary starting at 10:00 a.m. Cremation services will take place at the Magleby Mortuary Crematory.
