<p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>PITTSFIELD &ndash; Roger Martel, 86, a lifelong resident of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully and surrounded by love on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Epsom Healthcare in Epsom.</strong></p> <p><strong>Born in Pittsfield on August 13, 1935 he was the son of the late Leonard and Marion (Bilodeau) Martel.</strong></p> <p><strong>Roger was educated in the local schools and worked for many years in the factory at Globe Manufacturing until his retirement. Roger was known for being a quiet man, he enjoyed wood working, tinkering and fixing things, working around the yard mowing the lawn and pruning his fruit trees. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing.</strong></p> <p><strong>Besides his parents, Roger was predeceased by his brothers, Wilfred Martel and a sister, Beatrice Behan.</strong></p> <p><strong>He is survived by his sister, Doris Clendenen of Ohio, sister-in-law, Theresa Martel of Pittsfield, nieces and nephews, James Martel and his wife Gail, Donna Jackson, Michael Martel, Samuel Martel and Diane Martel as well as a cousin, Annette Bilodeau.</strong></p> <p><strong>A Graveside service will be held in the spring at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Pittsfield. PITTSFIELD – Roger Martel, 86, a lifelong resident of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully and surrounded by love on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Epsom Healthcare in Epsom.

Born in Pittsfield on August 13, 1935 he was the son of the late Leonard and Marion (Bilodeau) Martel.

Roger was educated in the local schools and worked for many years in the factory at Globe Manufacturing until his retirement.
