Librado "Lee" Cuevas

Librado “Lee” Cuevas, 96, of Marblehead, OH passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Ottawa County Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor, OH. He was born August 17, 1925 in Alamo, TX the son of Matias and Cristina (Diaz) Cuevas. He married Maria Angelita Cortez on April 7, 1946 and she preceded him in death on September 27, 1985. Librado served in the United States Navy during World War II surviving Kamikaze attacks. He worked for U.S. Gypsum for two years and then at Erie Army Depot retiring in 1985. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton and the American Legion. He enjoyed farming. Surviving are his children: Maria Elena (Jerry) Guthrie of Marblehead, Carlos (Sue) Cuevas of Port Clinton, Diana (Dave Turner) Below of Carlisle, OH, Eduardo (Doretta) Cuevas of Port Clinton, Norma Traub of Horton, MI, Daniel Cuevas of North Ft. Myers, FL; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother: Roque (Lilian) Cuevas of Port Clinton; sister: Alicia Arrizola of Port Clinton. He was preceded in death by his wife: Angelita; daughter: Suzanna Cuevas Anderson; brothers: Ascension Cuevas, Florentino Cuevas and Herman Cuevas. Visitation will be held 8:30 am – 9:30 am Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH 43452 where prayer services will begin at 9:30 am Wednesday. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison St. Port Clinton, OH 43452. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
