“I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.” John 11:25 NLT

Barbara Louise Granholm (nee Langford), a resident of Andover, NJ for the past 12 years went home to be with her Savior on January 15, 2022. Barbara was born in Manhattan and raised in Queens. She prided herself on being a true New Yorker. She moved to Rockland County, NY after she got married, where she resided for 36 years and raised her children. Barbara was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, friend, and pet nanny.

If you were fortunate enough to know Barbara, you knew, above all else, that her heart first belonged to her Lord, and her love for her family was fierce.

Barbara is survived by her five children: Jennifer, David, Robert, Ricky and Kathleen, her son-in love, Chris, and daughters-in-love Jill, Maria and Erika, her nine grandchildren: Carolyn, Abigail, Sarah, Jack, Jay (Emma), Tyler, Evaline, Ariana and Audrey, her siblings: Frank, Theresa, Thomas and David, and her nieces and nephews: Robert, Joseph, Carl, Peter, Dianna, Paul, Amy, Tiffany, Michael, Taylor and Ian.

Barbara was preceded in death by her sister Patricia, her mother Anne, her nephew Shawn, her nephew Robert and her brothers Michael and Dennis.

She found joy and independence as an occupational therapist for over 10 years at Hand Therapy of Rockland before moving to Sussex County, NJ with her son David and his family. In her “retirement” from OT, Barbara took on all the opportunities that God placed in front of her from phlebotomy to being a pet nanny to serving at her church as a Pioneer Girl and Vacation Bible School leader, Stephen’s Ministry leader and a buddy for the special needs ministry.

As a self-proclaimed Jesus Freak, Barbara spent her life trying to MAKE HEAVEN CROWDED. St. Patrick’s Day will never be the same without her. She will be missed more than words can express.
