Amanda Jeanne Bezigian

Amanda J. Bezigian, 41, of Syracuse passed away Saturday January 15, 2022, at her home surrounded by family after a lengthy and courageous battle with breast cancer.<br/><br/>Amanda was born in Syracuse on July 13, 1980, to Michael Feldmeth and Janet Pizon. Amanda was proud of having attended Christian Brothers Academy, where she was the captain of the high school cheerleading squad that went on to win a national championship in 1998. At CBA she met her future husband, Tom, in seventh grade. She was also a graduate of Onondaga Community College, with honors, and SUNY Albany, where she received multiple degrees. After a decade of persistence, Tom convinced Amanda to capitulate to his wooing and they married in 2005, honeymooned in Europe and settled down to start their family. Amanda loved cooking, and entertaining guests, especially at the holidays where her feasts became famous. Her foremost passion was caring and providing for others- most particularly her children, around whom her world revolved. Amanda made friends easily and frequently, and welcomed them into the circle of her love. Her memory is a blessing that will be cherished by so many.<br/><br/>She is predeceased by grandparents- Jack &amp; Jeanne Feldmeth, and James &amp; Constance Irwin; as well as her uncle, Paul Feldmeth.<br/><br/>In addition to her parents, she is survived by her step-mother Diane Feldmeth and step-father Edmund Pizon; husband Thomas Bezigian, Jr.; three children- Violet Claire, Frederick Michael, and Aviva Jeanne; sister Jocelyn Feldmeth and brother-in-law Adam Bezigian; father and mother-in-law Tom Bezigian, Sr. and Nancy Bezigian; as well as aunts and uncles- Laurine Feldmeth, Mark (Alice) Irwin, Brenda (Glenn) Murdock, and Luke Irwin, cousins and other extended family, and many friends and neighbors who lovingly knew her as Miss Amanda.<br/><br/>Calling hours will be held Monday January 24, 2022, from 4-7pm at the Edward J. Ryan &amp; Son Funeral Home. Burial will be private.<br/><br/>In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Amanda’s memory to the Baldwin Fund Breast Cancer Research Foundation, or to Christian Brothers Academy.
