Lester James Bennett<br/><br/>June 23, 1943 – January 17, 2022<br/><br/>It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a great husband, dad, poppy, great-grandfather, uncle, brother and friend, Lester Bennett, who passed away on January 17, 2022 at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing, NL at the age of 78 years. <br/><br/>He will forever be remembered by his loving wife: Laura; his daughter: Leona (Richard); grandchildren: Amanda, Adam (Nicole) and Dawson; great-grandchildren: Trinity and Tanika. He also leaves to mourn his sisters: Delia (Sam), Marina and Linda (Dave); brothers: Ben and Jimmy; his very good friend George Bennett along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends.<br/><br/>He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Genevieve, and his brother Larry.<br/><br/>The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital and the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre for the great care they provided. You will be forever remembered.<br/><br/>To honor Lester's wishes, cremation has taken place.<br/><br/>Visitation on Thursday, January 20, 2022, 2 - 4 P.M. at Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing, NL. Vaxpas and ID will be needed at the visitation.<br/><br/>Burial on Friday, January 21, 2022, 10:00 A.M. with Fr. Edmund Dantes officiating at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Brookside Street, Stephenville Crossing, NL <br/><br/>Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing, NL.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a great husband, dad, poppy, great-grandfather, uncle, brother and friend, Lester Bennett, who passed away on January 17, 2022 at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing, NL at the age of 78 years.

He will forever be remembered by his loving wife: Laura; his daughter: Leona (Richard); grandchildren: Amanda, Adam (Nicole) and Dawson; great-grandchildren: Trinity and Tanika.
