Lois Duncan Long, 96, of Alden went to be forever with the Lord on January 17, 2022, at Sterling Village. Her dear husband Fred had preceded her in death by a mere 63 hours. Lois was a truly beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, as well as a treasured teacher and friend.

During retirement Lois conducted a Bible study in her home for many years. She enjoyed reading and keeping in touch with her children and grandchildren and eventually her great-grandchildren. She was loved by all.

In her later years, Lois ended every conversation and visit with this beautiful blessing and we bless her with it now and for all eternity:

May the Lord bless you and keep you;

May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you;

May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you,

and give you peace through His shed blood.

Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul; two beloved children--her writer/illustrator son Duncan, and her lawyer/judge/legislator daughter Jan. We can only imagine the joyous reunion in heaven!
