<p> <span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;"> Jefferson Wayne Norton Davis, 61, Nevada, MO passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Nevada Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Jefferson was born February 24, 1960 in Knoxville, TN to Parke A. and Eleanor C. (Norton) Davis. He married Renee Gotviagehya on January 12, 1996 in Topeka, KS and she survives of the home.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;"> Jefferson was raised in Grainger County, Tennessee near Knoxville and graduated from Rutledge High School Class of 1978. Prior to attending college, he worked as a police officer in several cities in Tennessee jurisdictions. He then attended the University of Tennessee obtaining a degree in Library Science, and later graduated from Washburn University Law School in Topeka, KS. Following law school, he practiced law in Topeka for a time. Jefferson was a longtime member of the Missouri, Kansas, and Tennessee Bar Associations. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning vegetables from his garden. He also loved animals and rescued many dogs and cats. He has resided in Nevada for the past five years.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;"> In addition to his wife Renee, he is survived by his brother, Anthony Davis, Blaine, TN; and a sister, Mary Jane Davis, Knoxville, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family:times new roman,times,serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;"> Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Roger Beach officiating.
