Brenda Hammond

Brenda Hammond, age 76, a New Castle resident, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at her residence. She was born January 24, 1945, a daughter of Isaac Engle and Margaret (Miller) Engle Brenda was a graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. She had attended college and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Brenda loved playing Bingo at the Elks and watching westerns movies on tv. She also enjoyed watching football, especially the Green Bay Packers. She loved cooking for her family and spending time with them. Left to cherish her loving memory include her mother, Margaret; a son, Chris Hammond; grandchildren, Justin (Jessica Huckaby) Hammond, Brandon (Ciara Heim) Hammond, Tyler Hammond, Blaine (Courtney) Hammond, Trey Hammond, Brad Criswell; several great-grandchildren; one sister and a special niece, Annette. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She is preceded in death by two sons, Jr. Hammond, Tim Hammond; one daughter, Robin Criswell. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2022, at Rose City Funeral Home, Macer~Hall~Marcum Chapel, 2011 East Broad St., New Castle. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery.
