Cavalin "Calvin" Roy Martin
A funeral service for Cavalin “Calvin” Roy Martin will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Family Worship Center, 601 E. Mechanic St. Leesville, Louisiana, with Reverend Mike Jackson officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held in Mitchell Cemetery on a later date. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Calvin was born May 22, 1954, in Many, LA and passed away January 16, 2022, in Anacoco, LA at the age of 67. He was a 1972 graduate of Anacoco High School and worked for over 20 years as a lineman. He also served on the Police Jury. Calvin was good at working with his hands and enjoyed carpentry and gardening. He was a hard-working man who often worked from dawn to dark and took pride in all that he did. Calvin believed in finishing what he started and during his free time enjoyed watching westerns. Serving the Lord was so important to him, and he would spend time learning about prophecies from the Bible. Calvin made sure his family knew to put God first and family second, and his life was a loving example of this. Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Austin Martin and Zelma Dean Goins Martin and brothers, Edward Reid Martin, John Leslie Martin, Carter Wayne Martin, and Carl Ray Martin. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years, Khristy Martin of Anacoco, LA; sons, Adam Ray Martin and wife Amy of Kountze, TX, Joshua Eli Martin of Anacoco, LA; and Jacob Austin Martin of San Antonio, TX; daughter, April Donham Flora and husband Jesse of Sheridan, AR; sisters, Jeanette Martin of Anacoco, LA and Debbie Martin Gilcrease and husband William of Leesville, LA; grandchildren, Jordan Pallas Donham Flora, Jesse Levi Flora II, and Ariana Tober Marie Flora; and a host of extended family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Joshua Martin, Adam Martin, Jacob Martin, Levi Flora, Kyle Smith, and Austin Tyler Tucker. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Williams, Alvin Strickland, Brad Conn, Daniel Booty, Jesse Flora, Brad Fulton, Eric Reberg, Chad Anderson, and Ben Prewitt.May 22, 1954 - January 16, 202205/22/195401/16/2022
