<p>Jefferson, SC</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Mr. Marcus Sammie &ldquo;Sam&rdquo; Catoe, age 74, entered into rest on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at his home. Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Tim Williams. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery. &nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Friends may visit Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 between the hours of 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM to view and pay their respects.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em><strong>Due to COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. We also ask all guests and family members attending visitations and services to please continue social distancing and face coverings are strongly encouraged.</strong></em></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Mr. Catoe was born February 1, 1947 in Lancaster, SC a son of the late Julius Cromwell Catoe and Ethel Vincent Catoe. He was a retired employee of H &amp; K Interiors and a former mechanic at Jefferson Auto Parts. Sam was a former member of Union Hill Baptist Church. His hobbies included &ldquo;tinkering&rdquo; on antique cars, especially an old Ford with a Chevrolet engine. He was affectionately known as the Saturday afternoon &ldquo;Shade-Tree Mechanic&rdquo; of Angelus.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In addition to his parents, Mr. Catoe was also preceded in death by &ldquo;Junior&rdquo; Wylie Catoe and William Catoe; sisters, Betty Hancock, Ethelene Catoe, Peggy D. Catoe, Mabelene Jenkins, Helen Catoe, and Fannie Mae Mahaffey.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Survivors include his sons, John Marcus (Donna) Catoe of McBee, SC, and Adam (Stacey) Catoe of Jefferson, SC; and their mother, Linda Catoe of Jefferson, SC; grandchildren, Joshua (Ana) Branham, and Lucas Catoe; great grandchild, Dawsen Branham; and numerous nieces and nephews.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 11078 Hwy. 151, Jefferson, SC 29718.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home (www.mrcfuneralhome.com) of Chesterfield, SC is serving the Catoe family.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

          Mr. Marcus Sammie “Sam” Catoe, age 74, entered into rest on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at his home. Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Tim Williams. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
