<p>Alvie Virginia Smith was born on November 22, 1932 in Asbury, Tennessee to Macon and Leland Ferguson. Alvie met her husband, Jasper Benjamin (JB) while attending Decherd High School. They married in Rossville Ga, shortly after JB returned from serving in the Korean war. Alvie attended Draughton&rsquo;s Business School in Nashville and went on to work as a book keeper for The Nashville Woodenware Co and the Williamson County Board of Education. While in Nashville, Alvie and JB were blessed with a daughter, Katherine Elaine in 1957 and Donald Jay in 1959.</p> <p>Alvie was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had a passion for gardening, working with children, cooking, volunteering at church, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.</p> <p>Alvie is preceded in death by her husband JB Smith, father Leland Ferguson, mother Sally Macon Ferguson, and brother Charles Ferguson, whom she held close to her heart.&nbsp; Alvie is survived by her children Kathy Peach, Donnie Smith and spouse Terry, grandchildren Tiffany Fay and spouse Danny, Amanda Mason and spouse Greg, Rachel Smith, Jay Smith, Rebecca Taylor and spouse Lowell, and her great grandchildren Alexis Head and spouse Thomas, Conner Fay, Kyleigh Mason, Davis Mason, Titus Taylor, Josiah Taylor, and Emma Jean Taylor.</p> <p>Alvie will be deeply missed and forever in the hearts of her friends and family.</p> <p>The service will be held at Watson-North Funeral Home&nbsp;on January 18, 2022. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. with service to follow. If you wish to make a donation, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to www.campacacia.org/donate.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
