Donald L. West Obituary

Don West passed away in his home on 1/12/2022. He was born in Norfolk, Va to his parents Riddick H. West and Clara M. West. Don was predeceased by wife Linda F. West, his parents and 3 siblings Marshall R. West, Clifton F. West, Patricia A. Watts, and his grandson Jared T. West. He is survived by his sibling Nancy Skinner, three sons Donnie H. West (Della), Jeb T. West, Bryan C. West Sr. (Katie), three grandchildren Amy West, Bryan C. West Jr., Jayson West, two great-grandchildren Marley and Robert, with one on the way, Jaxon. Also surviving relatives are his sister-in-law Ann West and many nieces and nephews. Don was a great family man. He was a proud employee of Brinks starting out as a driver then promoted to Guard, then retired holding the position of money messenger and firearms instructor. He was also a master marksman for the Chesapeake Sheriffs Office. When Don was a boy, he would love to walk on stilts, do handstands, play baseball, and go to the center. As an adult he was big into American history, hunting with his boys and friends, shooting competitions (he won a few), rigging things (aka Donald Leeing things). He was always there for his family whenever they needed him. He will truly be missed. A visitation/condolences service will be held on January 30, 2022, 2-4pm at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 3600 VA Beach Blvd, VA Beach, VA 23452.
