Devon Wilson Obituary

Celebrating the life of our Diva

A time to be born Devon LaShay Wilson was born on February 9, 1972, in Danville, VA to Linda Wilson.

A time to rest:  On January 12, 2022, God went to Inova Alexandria Hospital and wrapped his arms around his faithful servant and said” Its time my daughter.”

During her 49 earthly years, Devon attended Hargrave Military Academy.  She worked in the Healthcare field as a Residential Coordinator Manager for Taylor’s Enhanced Living.  She was a member of Corinth Christian Church.  Devon was a passionate, loving, and vibrant woman who never met a stranger.  She enjoyed spending time with her kids and getting her nails done.

A time to mourn: Devon leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories to her platform.  She is survived by her two children, Anthony Russell (23) and Aniya Russell (23) both of Midlothian, Virginia.  A mother, Linda Wilson (66); A special aunt just like her mother, Ruth Word; and a host of cousins that were like sisters, relatives, and friends.

Lord, I bring to you my burdens…Comfort my heart

Give me strength and help me carry on.

The family will be receiving visitors at 1303 Oak St. Danville
