Joyce Ann Campbell

Joyce Ann (Scott) Campbell was the youngest of six born to Joseph (Joe) and Vinnie Scott of Summerville on March 20, 1943. She passed away peacefully at her home in Summerville on January 12, 2022. At her request, there will be no servcie. Joyce was a life-long resident of Summerville while attending Imbler Elementary and High School. She married Roddy Campbell August 24, 1960 and they farmed the family farm for many years. Joyce helped start the first kindergarten in Imbler/Summerville at the Summerville Christian Church and taught there for many years. She was a long-time member of Jewel Rebekah Lodge in Summerville and the Imbler Christian Church. She and Roddy attended numerous sporting events and 4H/FFA shows and many referred to her as “Grandma Joyce”. Joyce loved to cook for her family and others, and no one could leave her house without a meal. She helped numerous families in the area navigate the adoption process after adopting her youngest. She is survived by her children: Sheri Campbell, Rocky (Diana) Campbell and Heidi (Barry) Bowers all of Summerville. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Brandon (Whitney) Campbell of Arizona, Meaghan (Rob) O’Leary of Summerville, Tiffany (Chad) Rager of Summerville, Cody (Amanda) Campbell of Summerville, Amanda Ott of Chicago, Sarah (Wyatt) Shetler of La Grande, Elijah Bowers of Butte Falls, Cole Campbell of Colorado, Emma Bowers of Boise and Jake Campbell of La Grande. She had 17 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roddy, and son, Scott; her parents, two brothers and a sister. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to Imbler FFA in care of JD Cant, PO Box 164, Imbler, OR 97841.
