David F. Healey, 79 of Cooksville, MD
Passed Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at his home.
Born February 11, 1942 in Cambridge, Massachusetts the son of the late Francis and Mary (O’Connell) Healey. Beloved husband of over 50 years to Marianne (Fitzell) Healey.
Dear brother of Paul Healey of Hopkinton, Massachusetts, Betty McQuary of San Antonio, TX
Devoted father of David and wife Joanne Healey of Chesapeake City, MD, Timothy and wife Kristen Healey of Cooksville, MD, Michael Healey of Cooksville, MD.
Loving grandfather of Mary, Aidan, Connor and Rory Healey.
Mr. Healey was a graduate of the University of Connecticut. He also served in the US Army Reserves as an MP. He was the grounds supervisor at Woodlawn Social Security Complex until his retirement.
He and Marrianne moved to Howard County in 1970 and began Greenway Farms, their greenhouse business and Christmas tree farm in Cooksville and Woodbine , MD. He was a longtime parishioner at St. Michaels Catholic Church. He and Marianne enjoyed spending time in Maine and at the beach in Massachusetts. He was a supporter of Howard County Living Farm Heritage Museum 12985 Frederick Road West Friendship, Maryland 21794.
The Family will receive friends on Monday, January 17, 2022 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A. 1212 W. Old Liberty Rd. Sykesville, MD 21784. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday, January 18, 2022 11 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1125 St. Michael’s Rd. Mt. Airy, MD 21771
