Cheryl LaVerne Quillman Obituary

Cheryl LaVerne Quillman, 60, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022, at Baisch Nursing Center, DeSoto, MO. She was born in Kirkwood, MO, on May 22, 1961, to parents Arthur Lee and Velma (Tucker) Jeffries.  

Cheryl was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was of the non-denominational faith and had been a Christian for many years. She enjoyed her church and talking about her Lord. She graduated from Hancock High School in Lemay, MO, and worked in a clerical office at Lutheran Hour Ministries. Cheryl enjoyed hunting, fishing, shopping, and exercising. She was an avid craftsman and created many ceramic artifacts with her mother. Cheryl loved horses, the outdoors and nature walks.  

She is preceded in death by her father.  

In addition to her mother, Cheryl is survived by her sisters: Audrey Lee Derham and husband Mike of Kansas City, MO, Cindy Dawn of Utah; nieces: Marina Harter, Mary Derham; nephews: Adam, John Paul, and Mark Derham; several great nieces and nephews. Cheryl will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visitation was held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 14, 2022, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont. Funeral service followed at 1:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Bro. Doug Tucker ministered to the family. Mike Derham, Adam Derham, John Paul Derham, Mark Derham, Buddy Gunter, Charlie Munze served as pallbearers. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery.
