Ray Bazil Walker Obituary

Ray Bazil Walker, 80, of Jane Lew, passed away on Thursday, January 6th, 2022. He was born in Lewis County on July 29th, 1941 to the late Everett Walker, Sr. and Phoebe Ellen (Simpson) Walker.

Ray is survived by a twin sister: Patricia Ann Leavitt and husband Paul and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by 1 brother: Everett Walker, Jr., 3 half-brothers: George Alderman, William Bill Alderman, and Todd Alderman, and 3 half-sisters: Lillan Evans, Layoma Skidmore, and Evelyn Horgar.

Ray was Baptist by faith. He worked for his father at Walker’s Front End Alignment on West 2nd Street in Weston for many years. Ray enjoyed coon hunting. His pride and joys were his two dogs, “Princess” and “Lucky”.

Family and friends will gather at Hardman Family Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Friday, January 14th, 2022 from 12-1PM. The Funeral service will begin at 1PM from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dan Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow services at Morris Cemetery in Kincheloe, WV.
