Wayne E. Fillmore Jr., fifty-one, of Lacarne, Ohio passed away on December 30, 2021 at 12:21 p.m. at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, Ohio just one day after the two year anniversary of the death of his mother, Clara Fillmore, whom he loved very much. He was born on November 8, 1970 in Port Clinton, Ohio to the late Wayne Fillmore and Clara (Bostater) Fillmore, and grew up in Rocky Ridge, Ohio. He was employed at Silgan Plastics, Superior Pushrod, Metaldyne, and American Welding & Tank. In 2002, he obtained his GED and CDL, and went on to become an over the road truck driver, and is currently employed by Expercon in Toledo, Ohio, where he prided himself on never missing a day of work. Wayne was an honest man who worked hard for everything he owned. He loved hunting, fishing, building race cars, and playing poker, but his main passion was wrenching, beating, and smashing up old cars, obtaining the nickname “Crazy Kooter 44" and he won many trophies and awards for his strong passion for running in the demolition derby. In 1993, Wayne married Stacy (Kohlman) Fillmore, they divorced in 2012, and she survives, along with their daughters, Michelle Fillmore and Brittney Fillmore. He is also survived by his sisters, Rose Oberhaus and Thelma (the late Robert) Kitzler, nephews, Curt and Justin Clere, niece, Christina Oberhaus, and the late Tabitha (Clere) Depner, along with many cousins. His daughters are hosting a two-hour celebration of life for family and friends and will be held at 2:00 p.m., along with a funeral at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home at 1124 Fulton Street in Port Clinton, Ohio. Burial will be private and cremation has been completed.
