Harry Lea Hickerson, 74, of Rison, formerly of Altheimer, gained his wings Friday, January 7, 2022. He was born January 11, 1947, in Altheimer to the late Theodore and Lela Mae Adams Hickerson.

            Harry was a graduate of Altheimer High School, then served in the U.S. Air Force. He spent most of his life farming, but eventually retired from CPS.Harry enjoyed being outside, working in the garden, watching the chickens, and spending time with the grandbabies.  

            In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Sue Davis Hickerson, whom he married April 27, 1971 and who passed away March 11, 2016; three brothers, Bobby, Dalton, and Leon Hickerson; and one sister Gail Wooten.

            He is survived by two sons, Lea (April) Hickerson and Joe (Brandy) Hickerson of Rison; five grandchildren, Brianna (Charles) Mitchell, Trinton Hickerson, Kriztian (Charley) Hickerson Leslie Hickerson and Kodi Hickerson; eight great grandchildren, Dagan, Emma, Abby, Zeppelin, Hattie, Peanut, Coco and Pheobee; one brother, Mickel Hickerson; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

            Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Robinson & Fuller White Hall Chapel. Graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Flat Bayou Cemetery in Altheimer with Bro. Lou Anders officiating.
