Michael James White Plume, Sr. was born on March 15, 1982 in Pine Ridge, SD to Alta White Plume and Michael Quilt. Michael made his journey to the Spirit World on January 5, 2022 in Manderson, SD.

Michael is survived by his sons, Michael White Plume, Jr., Jaden White Plume, and Terren White Plume; daughters, Antoinette Rosie White Plume and Michaela Jade White Plume; brothers, Chauncey Brown, Tatanka White Plume, and Ivan White Butterfly, Jr.; sisters, Rosebud White Plume and Leslie Cary White Butterfly; Ina’s, S. Ramona White Plume, Rita Shopteese, Mildred Alkire, and Carla & Carleen Crazy Thunder; and Ate’s, Alex White Plume, Percy White Plume, and Gerald Weasel.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Alta White Plume; sisters, Teresa Brown and Michelle White Plume; and brothers, Marlin White Plume, Tawapaha White Butterfly, and Jared Roy James White Plume; grandparents, Valence Weasel and Percy White Plume, Sr.; aunts, Priscilla White Plume, Wyoma White Plume, and Annabelle White Plume; and cousin, Valencia Shopteese.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Iron, Gentry Chase In Sight, Mario White Butterfly, Fernando White Butterfly, Hermis Janis, Wahacanka Tall, Matt Iron Plume, Hattie White Butterfly, Garfield Steele, Tanner Pierce, Dom Stands, and Robin White Butterfly.
