Stephens, Roger
71, of Beavercreek, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born April 6, 1950 to John Stephens and Laura Howard in Lexington, Kentucky. Roger served in the US Army from 1968 to 1971, and had earned the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal for his time he served in the Vietnam War. He retired from Dayton Children’s Medical Center in 2007 as a Pharmacy Technician.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Karen Stephens; son, Zachary (Stephanie) Stephens; grandchildren, Sarah Stephens, Jordan Stephens; sisters, Vickie Roberts (George Weaver), Bobbie Smith; sisters-in-law, Donna (Tim) Beneke, Dixie Stephens; mother-in-law, Mattie Peters; his loving bulldogs, Cuddles and Penny; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close family friends, far too many to list. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Jim Stephens.
Services for Roger will be held in private. Burial will take place at the Dayton National Cemetery.
