It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Davinder “Mindy” Wetendorf on December 29, 2021. 

Mindy is survived by daughters, Belinda (Larry), Gerri (Rob), and Delaine; son, Gary (Cheryl); grandchildren, James, Chantal (Sean), Danielle, Jolene, Chelsey (Ty); great grandchildren, Kaiya, Finnix, Carter, and Elle; brother, Tara; sisters, Abby and Bonto; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Mom was a very outgoing, charismatic, loving person who touched many hearts.  She was well known for her work in the hospitality industry - started her career as a barmaid and worked her way up to becoming Hotel owner in Port Alberni and Williams Lake.

Mom also loved her volunteer work with the Port Alberni Salmon Festival where she was known to wear signature Budweiser earrings. Mom had a love of life and enjoyed travelling.  She had a love of music and spent many hours dancing to her favourites.

Mom also leaves behind many friends that she took into her life over the years.  The family would like to thank the caring staff at Echo village for watching over her when we couldn’t be there.
