<p style="text-align: justify;">It is great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Beloved Brother, Uncle, Great Uncle, Great Great Uncle, Cousin and Friend Delbert Many Fires</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Delbert was born March 24, 1966 to Steve &amp; Josephine Many Fires. He was the youngest child of 16 children. He leaves behind his only surviving brother Charles (Marlene) Many Fires and long time devoted furry pal Buddy. Delbert also leaves to mourn his precious nephews and nieces whom he loved, adored, Cherished and was a huge figure to; Russell (Delcy) Running Bird, Wanda (Darren) Prairie Chicken, Brian (Lorena) Prairie, Warren Spotted Eagle, Glenda Spotted Eagle, Janice Spotted Eagle, Cherie Spotted Eagle, Charlene (Murray) Good Eagle, Dora Lynn McMaster, Lillian (Marcel) Reinfort, Jenna and Rory Loftus and Arlin Harding, George Jr Morin, Angela Morin, Georgia (Jesse) Morin, Gregory Morin, William (Jodi) Morin, Jodi Morin, Francine Melting Tallow, Verona Melting Tallow, Brenda Melting Tallow, Francis Melting Tallow Jr, Blaine Melting Tallow and Aaron Melting Tallow, Great Nephew and Nieces Jae (Amanda) Prairie Chicken, Keisha Prairie Chicken, Carmen Prairie Chicken and Great Great Nephew Laven Good Eagle,</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Best known as &ldquo;Uncle Bert&rdquo; to many, he was a kind and generous man, who would always lend a helping hand. He was always happy to see his relatives. Delbert&rsquo;s sarcasm and humor will be missed. He was a kind and generous man who always gave a helping hand. In his hay-days he enjoyed many sports such as ground hockey, back water/river ice hockey, Football and Baseball; with surrounding communities. He had various hobbies and interests. In his younger years he drummed with Crowfoot Juniors and Bow River. He also worked as an Actor and Stuntman on the western &ldquo;Into The West&rdquo;. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his various family and friends. He was also employed with Ed Nibbs Development for many years; during this time Delbert would ride a plane to work from his backyard. Delbert was a true fan of The Calgary Flames, Calgary Stampeders and The Prices Right.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Delbert is predeceased by his parents Steve and Josephine Many Fires, his siblings; Yvonne Fox, Bruce Many Fires, Cecil Many Fires, Milton Many Fires, Linda Saddleback, Francis Prairie Chicken, Doreen Prairie Chicken, Allan Prairie Chicken, Celina Many Fires, Phyllis Many Fires, Chester Many Fires, Racheal Morin, and Stephen Many Fires. His grand parents Patrick and Pauline Prairie Chicken, Mr. and Mrs. Many Fires, Uncles Benedict, Simon, Joseph Prairie Chicken, Henry Sun Walk and Auntie Bona Black Kettle.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The Family would like to thank everyone who has offered their condolences, love and prayers during this difficult time, Thank You to Siksika Disability Services for being a great service to Uncle Delbert, and Heartfelt Thanks to Gleichen RCMP for being with us in our time of need.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">January 3, 2021 at 6:00pm a wake service will be held at Delbert Many Fires Residence, House #68 Map 9, Siksika Nation</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">January 4, 2021 at 11:00am the funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Siksika Nation</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">A drive-by Feast will be held at Delbert Many Fires Residence after the funeral service.</p>
