Patricia J. Williams, 80, of Tamaqua PA, formerly of Lake Hauto, Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at the Hometown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hometown. She was the wife of the late John M. Williams, who passed away in 2015. Born in Lansford, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Suzanne (Hoshko) Yurick. She was part-owner of the former Mity-Fine Bakery in Lansford and later worked in the customer service department of Elk Lighting, Tamaqua. Patricia was a proud graduate of Lansford High School, Class of 1958, and the Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston, MA. She was a longtime member, organist, and Women’s Club treasurer at First Congregational Church in Coaldale PA. Patricia was an avid reader and a devoted Duke basketball fan.
Patricia is survived by daughters Susan Schremp and husband Ted of Jacksonville FL, Patricia Williams of Orefield and Robyn Rex of Tamaqua, grandchildren Megan Schremp, Arjun Williams, Margaret Harahus, Brandon Rex and Adam Rex, great-granddaughter Aleigha Rex, and sisters-in-law Megan Reichelderfer and Mary Yurick. She was predeceased by sister Suzanne King and brothers Stephen Yurick and Larry Yurick.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 31, 2021, at First Congregational Church of Coaldale, 123 East Ruddle St., Coaldale with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Benack officiating. Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Tamaqua, PA. A calling hour will be held in the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday morning. Leopard print and 50’s attire are welcome to celebrate and honor the life of Patricia. The family strongly encourages and appreciates the use of masks at the church.
