Stewart Red Crow was born on May 25, 1988 in Strathmore, Alberta and left tragically on December 22, 2021. Stewart was from the Siksika Nation where he was raised and went to school at Chief Old Sun School then later went to Siksika Nation Junior High School.  Stewart took part in many activities including, basketball, listening to music, furniture upholstery, and enjoying a hot cup of coffee in the morning while he read the newspaper or watched the TV news. Like his Aunt Asteria Red Crow, he loved to draw and later used his artistic talents to design tattoos.

Stewart was a Kiipiitaipooka raised by his paternal grandmother, Jessie Buller, with the help of his Auntie Asteria. He enjoyed playing with his cousins and going on outings with Grama Jessie and older sisters, Vanessa and Nellie. Stewart met his wife Tamille Holloway and moved to Morley then Calgary. Their love for each other led them to the altar where they shared their wedding vows in 2013.

Stewart was very spiritual and read The Bible whenever he could and encouraged family and friends spiritually. His spiritual journey took him to his Cursillo in 2012 which took place in Tsuu T’ina and his baptism at The Rock Church in 2016.

Stewart loved his children, his siblings and formed a strong bond with his mother before she left us this past year. Stewart was devastated at the loss of his mother but now he will be with her as well as the family who predeceased him.

Stewart is survived by his Children: LaCoy (Kalia) Holloway, Lakeysha (Lashay) Red Crow, Mila Strangling Wolfs, Mikinley Stangling Wolfs and Grandson; Aziel Holloway. Parents: April White Eagle and Danny Red Crow. Grandparents: Jessie (Winnipeg-Mayfield) Buller (Late Bill Buller); James Willy Red Crow; Joyce White Eagle and Bruce Stimson and traditional grandfather; Glen White Eagle. Great Grandparents: Josephine and Cyril White Eagle; Conner and Doris Stimson, Jack and Ellen Winnipeg, Ada (Min) Kadonaga and Jim (Rosie) Red Crow.
