Ronald E. “Ron” Struxness, age 80, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1987, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Friday, December 24, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Dawn, son, Michael (Tonia), daughter, Meghan (Tom), granddaughter, Sydney Olivia, and brother-in-law, Marlyn Maasjo. From 1965 to 2010 Ron spent his professional career in hospital and health system administration. While in Chicago he served in executive positions with Evangelical, Advocate, and Resurrection Health Care Systems. He led and mentored many. Ron was a man of strong intelligence, ethical behavior, and thoughtful citizenship. He was quiet, kind, and generous. Ron liked nothing better than sharing a meal prepared by his children, traveling with Dawn, flying aerobatic stunts in his airplane, reminiscing with friends and former colleagues, reading a good book, visiting art galleries, and listening to Waylon and Willie. A celebration of Ron’s life will be planned for late summer or early fall 2022. We hope for a day of sunshine. Memorials in Ron’s honor can be directed to the Ronald E. and Dawn M.
