Jon Carroll Richardson, age 78, "Slipped the Surly Bonds of Earth” on December 23, 2021 and touched the face of God. Preceding him to eternal peace are: Carroll and Virginia Richardson, parents; Carol Milne, Joanie Richardson, sisters; Roger Crone, step-son. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; four daughters; Charlene Lema, Lori Stampher, Evie Winters, Erica Becker; grandchildren: Ritchie, Corey, Rhiannon, Starla and Jessica; five great grandchildren; brother, Joe Richardson, and sisters, Gerry Garrity, Mary Jo Bellows, Christine Watson, Bernie Malesko, and Janet Fliedner. Jon was a welder and partner of Anchor Service Group; member of the Palmyra Church of Christ; a ham radio operator; an Air Force veteran; and a jack of all trades. He loved aviation with a passion and introduced many to their first airplane ride. He worked with the Air Explorer Scouts by taking them up in his Cessna 172, two of which later became commercial pilots. On a trip to Colorado, the pilot recognized him and introduced him to the crew as the man who gave him his first airplane ride. He was a kind, gentle man with a loving heart, and will be missed by all who loved him. Direct cremation has been chosen. Swarens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
