Peter Glade Jensen Obituary

I was unable to make a link the way they have it set up so go to www.marysvaleward.com to watch the service www.marysvaleward.com Peter Glade Jensen, 84 passed from our loving arms into his long awaited, beloved two daughters arms on Saturday December 18, 2021. Glade was born on June 9, 1937 to Peter Romain Jensen and Thurma Elizabeth Coates, he was the eldest of five children. Glade was taught at a very young age a hard work ethic, his dad owned a small construction business and so he and his brothers learned to use large machinery building many roads in many different places. Glade attended high school in Circleville where he played sports and danced with many girls. One girl in particular that caught his eye was a tall slender girl by the name of Marie. They loved attending dances at Purple Haze up Kingston Canyon, where mom said he snuck in his first kiss and stole her heart. Glade married Ellen Marie Fullmer on September 18, 1958 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They have built a journey of 63 years together along with five children. In their early years of marriage they moved around a lot following different construction jobs, when finally they decided to make Circleville their permanent home. Dad always dreamed of owning a large cattle ranch, although that never happened; he did enjoy his small herd and farm there in Piute County. This is where he enjoyed life most, teaching his kids to change sprinklers, herd cows and brand them. Dad also loved to hunt and camp, he spent a lot of time hunting on the forchea mountain with family and friends. He always had a good buck story to tell, and a good laugh on how they would end up making the kill. He loved taking his family camping and so every summer that would be our family vacation, to spend quality time upon the Beaver mountain. It's been fun for us kids to spend our Labor Day for many years now camping and celebrating each wedding anniversary with mom and dad. After the loss of his second daughter is when dad seemed to slow down the most, he has spent the last three years taking the best of care of our dear mom. He has shown gentle and loving patience with her while she has struggled with dementia. Dad was a loving and kind man and made friends everywhere, we have seen this in the last few weeks. Each nurse and caregiver has come up to us and told us how much they have enjoyed taking care of him, how he always had a positive attitude and smile for them. We appreciate the staff at both Garfield Memorial and Cedar City Hospital for the wonderful care they have given our dad in his final weeks. Dad, we will miss you, our hearts are broken but we find peace in knowing you are now with your daughters and other family who you have missed for so long. We appreciate everything you have taught us in life and how you have shown so much love for mom and all of us kids and your grandkids. The memories you have made with us all are forever cherished. We miss you dad and love you, and this is never goodbye but see you later. Glade is survived by his wife Marie of Circleville, Marty ( Natalite) Jensen of Loa, Derrin (Allyson) Jensen of Circleville and Ann (Travis) Kennedy of Marysvale.
