<p>Michael R. (Mike) Hittle, 65, of North Judson, Indiana passed away on December 18, 2021, at Peabody Retirement and Healthcare Center in North Manchester after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer&#39;s disease.</p> <p>Mike was born on December 9, 1956, to Sylvester and Doris(Whybrew) Hittle of North Judson.&nbsp; Mike was a 1975 graduate of North Judson-San Pierre High School.&nbsp; After marrying and starting a family, Mike studied Industrial Engineering Technology at Purdue University North Central and later earned a Bachelor&#39;s Degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.</p> <p>Mike spent most of his career working in the manufacturing industry.&nbsp; For many years he worked as the Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Thermo Products in North Judson.&nbsp; In 2001 he began working for ConAgra Foods as a Training Coordinator in Rensselaer, Indiana and then as Senior Industrial Engineer in Garner, North Carolina.&nbsp; At the time of his retirement, Mike was an Industrial Engineer at Kellogg&#39;s in Kemper, Kentucky.</p> <p>On January 5, 1980, Mike married Debra (Deb) Paulsen in San Pierre, Indiana.&nbsp; They had two sons, Jason(Heather) Hittle&nbsp; and Christopher(Megan) Hittle, both of North Judson.&nbsp; Mike and Deb were blessed with six grandchildren: Christian, Addilyn, Devon, Calvin, and Landon Hittle of North Judson, and Brenden Danford of Valparaiso, Indiana.</p> <p>Prior to his illness, Mike was an active member of the North Judson United Methodist Church.&nbsp; Mike enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, and biking; but his greatest passion was spending time with his grandchildren.</p> <p>Mike is survived by his parents Sylvester and Doris Hittle, sons Jason(Heather) Hittle and Chris(Megan) Hittle, and six grandchildren all of North Judson; sisters Franna(Bob) Barger of Winamac, Indiana; Cathy(Lewis)Mann of Logansport, Indiana; Sheri(Terry Gorst) Grether of Athens, Wisconsin; Rita(Chuck) Collins of Denham, Indiana; and one brother Lance(Lori) Hittle of Monterey, Indiana.</p> <p>Mike was preceded in death by his brother Eric(Theresa) Hittle of North Judson, Indiana.</p> <p>Visitation will take place at Braman and Bailey Funeral Home in North Judson on Sunday, December 26, 2021 from 4 PM to 7 PM.</p> <p>The funeral service will take place at Braman and Bailey Funeral Home on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 11 AM with Pastor Kurt Nichols officiating with visitation from 9 AM&nbsp;till time of service.</p> <p>Internment will follow at the San Pierre Cemetery.</p> <p>Memorials may be made to the North Judson United Methodist Church.&nbsp;</p>

Michael R. (Mike) Hittle, 65, of North Judson, Indiana passed away on December 18, 2021, at Peabody Retirement and Healthcare Center in North Manchester after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Mike was born on December 9, 1956, to Sylvester and Doris(Whybrew) Hittle of North Judson.  Mike was a 1975 graduate of North Judson-San Pierre High School.  After marrying and starting a family, Mike studied Industrial Engineering Technology at Purdue University North Central and later earned a Bachelor's Degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.

The funeral service will take place at Braman and Bailey Funeral Home on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 11 AM with Pastor Kurt Nichols officiating with visitation from 9 AM till time of service.

Internment will follow at the San Pierre Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the North Judson United Methodist Church.
