<p>MOORESVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA</p> <p>December 01, 1950 - December 16, 2021</p> <p>Michael Letaw Shor, 71, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021. The Shor Family have entrusted arrangements to Cremation Society of Charlotte.</p> <p>Michael started his professional career working with Young Judea, before joining Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), a role he remained inspired by and passionate about throughout this life. At JDC, Michael was able to put his desire to help others into action, assisting efforts to support Jews in need worldwide. Michael then turned his career toward the law, becoming a partner at Fisher Broyles in Charlotte, NC and serving as the first President of the Charlotte Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel. Michael was deeply appreciated for his thoughtful, considerate nature, caring approach, and willingness to lend a hand.</p> <p>Michael is survived by his three daughters, Lauren and husband Charles Loeser, Katherine and Jaclyn, grandson Edward Loeser, sister Barbara McDowell, brother and sister-in-law Nathan and Nannette Shor, nieces and nephews, Bryan, Meghan, Harrison, and Avery McDowell, Andrew McDowell, Marla, Josh, Evelyn and Caleb Chinsky, Rachel Shor, and Adam and Michelle Shor.
