William “Bill” Ray Pollock

Bill Pollock, age 79, of Sperry went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, December 16, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Bill was born February 27, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to John Haskell and Alice Delores (Zibung) Pollock. Bill grew up and received his education in Sperry graduating from Sperry High School in 1961. Bill also attended some college in Stillwater at Oklahoma State University. He married Betty Mae Teel on August 22, 1961 in Sperry, Oklahoma where they made their home. Bill served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964. He was employed with IBEW as an electrician for 30 years until his retirement in 1996. Bill and Betty also owned and operated Bill and Betty’s Country Corner from July 2004 to April 2021. He was a 4-H Club leader, FFA Parents Club member, a Sperry School Board member, RR Water District 15 Board member, and a Country Corner Fire Department Board member. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, working cows and pigs, and telling tales.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents: John and Delores Pollock, brothers: Jr. Pollock, Nate Pollock, and sister: Betty Hill.

Bill is survived by his wife: Betty Pollock, daughter: Tammie Pollock, sisters: Mollie Teel, Frances Johnson, Winnie Rogers, Phyllis Bennett, granddaughter: Mindy Stafford, great-grandson: Connor Stafford, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. 

The family of Bill Pollock entrusted his care and services to Sien-Shelton Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Sperry FFA or The Country Corner Fire Department.
