Maxine Lambert Bowles,95, of Mile Branch, WV, left her earthly home to meet her Heavenly Father and her loving husband, Cyrus Bowles, Friday, December 10, 2021.        Maxine was born August 26, 1926, in Besoco, WV, a daughter of the late Walter and Iva Colley Lambert.  Maxine was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt and friend; loving her family and friends until her death.  When she wasn’t spending time talking with or visiting her family she liked to garden; she was quite the expertise in canning.  Maxine was also a true Christian, relying on her faith to help guide her in all aspects of her life.  She was a member of the Avondale Independent Church of God for over 50 years.       In addition to her parents, Walter and Iva Lambert Maxine was preceded in death by her loving husband Cyrus Lee Bowles; four sons, Leon, Jimmy, Barry and Jeffery Bowles; two daughters, Paula Trijillo and Sherry Bowles and one grandson, Randy Bowles.      Survivors include four sons, Jerry (Carol) Bowles of Cleveland, Danny (Sandra) Bowles of Mile Branch, Timothy (Maria) Bowles of Kannapolis, and Brian Bowles of Denver, NC; three daughters, Patricia Everett of Warrenton, VA, Marsha Chumley-Sweeney (Ray) of Indianapolis, IN, Pam Akers (Paul) of Maiden, NC; 24 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and three step grandchildren. Additional survivors include one son-in-law, Mark Trijillo; and in-laws, Doris and Ann Bowles of Quarryville, PA and Hulonda Bowles of Mooresville, NC.     Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 17, 2021 at 1 o’clock with Reverend John Akers and Reverend John Wheeler officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV.  Burial will follow in Iaeger Memorial Cemetery in Roderfield, WV. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.     Friends may visit with the family Thursday evening, December 16, 2021 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger.     Covid guidelines to be followed by all attending are the wearing of mask and social distancing.      Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV is assisting the family.      Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.fanningfuneralhomes.com.
