Harold "Steve" Doremus

<p>Steve Doremus, 65, of East Ridge, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on December 10th, 2021. A graduate of East Ridge High School class of 1974, Steve went on to have a career as a Journeyman Electrician through I.B.E.W. Local 175.</p> <p>Steve was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, chocolate lab Sophie, and relaxing in his swimming pool. He attended Newnan Springs United Methodist Church.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Ray Doremus.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Susan Gibson Doremus of East Ridge; daughter, Tiffany Doremus of East Ridge; son, Jarrod (Nicole) Doremus of Evans, Georgia; honorary mom, Wanda Doremus of Chattanooga; two sisters, Nancy (Scott) Griffey of East Ridge and Beth Doremus of Chattanooga; brother, Henry Doremus of Chattanooga; two grandsons, Lance Killian of Ringgold, Georgia and Aidan Doremus of Evans, Georgia; granddaughter, Ashlan Doremus of Evans, Georgia; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Mr. Doremus to Newnan Springs United Methodist Church 78 Monanaw Avenue Rossville, Georgia 30741.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Condolences may be shared with the family at www.lane-southcrestchapel.com.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Services will be held Friday, December 17th, 2021 at 2:00p.m. at Newnan Springs United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Elder officiating.&nbsp; Mr. Doremus will lie in state at the church from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Entombment will be at Lakewood Memorial Gardens South.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville, GA.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
