April L. Starkey, 56, of Flemington, WV, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. She was born in Cleveland, OH on October 15, 1965 a daughter of the late Franklin and Virginia (Green) Allen. In addition to her parents April was preceded in death by one sister, Kimberly Delaney. April is survived by her husband Joseph Lee Starkey; three children: Justin Marcum, Matthew Marcum, and Christina “Chrissy” Runner all of Flemington; five nephews and one niece she raised as her own: TJ, Shawn, Bryan, Tyler, Anthony, and Elizabeth Starkey; two step-children: Willa Ann Phillips (Benjamin) of Clarksburg and Gerald Carr (Lisa) of PA; five siblings: Jim Green of OH, Christine Voros of OH, Edith Stewart (Dave) of Flemington, Tuesday Davis of Grafton, and Frank Allen (Heather) of Grafton; 10 grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. She loved everyone equally and unconditionally. In addition to raising her family April worked providing in home health care to others. She liked her scratch off tickets and playing games on her tablet with others. April had a big heart and anyone and everyone was always welcome at her home. A Celebration of Life for April will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 12-1pm at the Bailey Memorial United Methodist Church at Rosemont with Pastor Gary Devart presiding. Following the service at 1 all are welcome for food and fellowship and it is requested those attending bring a covered dish. Online condolences, www.maylefuneralhome.com The Bradley J.
