Janice Yearwood, 58 formerly of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Pastor Darrell Wait and Brad Yearwood, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Janice was born on September 6, 1963, in Pampa, TX to Everett and Sheila (Patterson) Yearwood. She grew up in Dumas graduated sixth in her class from Dumas High School in 1982. She went on to attend Texas Tech and remained a lifelong Texas Tech fan. Janice opened a home in Dallas for special needs and learning-disabled adults. She truly loved her job and was very passionate about her work. In 2009 she moved back to Dumas to help her parents. She was preceded in death by her parents. Janice is survived by her brothers: Russ Yearwood and wife Carrie of West Lafayette, IN, Mark Yearwood and wife Kim of Ft. Worth, TX; sister: Cheryl Town and husband Todd of Amarillo, TX; nieces and nephews: Ashley Withers, Chelsea Gould, Brad Yearwood, Michala Adams, Tanner Yearwood, Chassidy Wagnon, Brandi Beeson and Chelsea Defries along with numerous great nieces and nephews. The family suggests with gratitude that memorials be made a local hospice. The family would also like to thank Heavenly Homes Hospice and Stephanie Michaels for the loving care that was provided to Janice.
