It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Jonathan “Johnny” Rodriguez, aged 26, of Lansing, IL on December 7th, 2021. Johnny was a son to Elias & Martha Rodriguez, and Alma Morfín. He was an amazing husband and best friend to Isana Rodriguez. A brother to Lalo, Michael, Andy, Patty, Kaira, and Lupe. An uncle to Melissa, Julius, Andrea, Tony, Ari, Leilani, Anthony, and Danilo. Johnny was a cousin, a nephew, a friend, and a brother to many that will miss him dearly. Tragically, he was only 3 weeks away from his birthday when he passed- he would have turned 27 on December 29th. Despite his young age, Johnny accomplished so much- he was a light in lives of those around him. His personality, his smile, his jokes, his hugs… it all lit up any room he stepped into. Our family will be forever incomplete without his laughter, his passion, and his love. Johnny loved selflessly. He was the type of person to listen and give an honest opinion without judgement. He was always positive, full of joy, helpful, caring and loving with his family. He looked out for loved ones and always made sure they knew how much they were loved- even in his final moments. Johnny lived his life with passion and made the best of his time on this earth. He loved to go hiking, work around the house, play video games, grill steak, travel, go to new restaurants and listen to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He was a hard worker and never complained about anything. There was never a shortness of laughter when he was present. To the many that will always love and miss him, this world will never be the same without Johnny's light.
