Emmanuel Edward
<p>Emmanuel R. Edward, age 86, of Hilliard, OH., passed away on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Doctor's Hospital West. Born in Sri Lanka, he went on to become a very accomplished civil engineer, retiring in New York as the head of field support, building many bridges in Sri Lanka and was heavily involved with the city transit authority for the subways in New York. Moving to Hilliard, Ohio after retirement, he became a loyal member of Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church. He was also an avid soccer player in his younger years. Preceded in death by, sister, Rose Johnthasan. Survived by, wife, Mary, sons, Reginald (Ajita) Edward and Andrew Edward, grandchildren, Reggie, Hannah, Simon and David, sister, Mary Gunasegaram, numerous other family and friends. Friends may call at Grace Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 5099 Postlewaite Rd., Friday, December 10, 2021 from 4-7 where service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, December 11, 2021.
