DARLENE SMITH Westminster – Patsy Darlene Smith, 77, wife of Marvin Leon Carpenter, of 526 Cleveland Pike Road, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at her residence. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Desmond and Sybil Moore Laws. Mrs. Smith was a quality controller for Frito Lays Company and formerly worked for Dunlop. She also was a member of Welcome Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to her husband, include a son, Tony Ramey; daughters, Cindy Murphy and husband Mark, and Tina Moore and husband Jamie; brother, Eugene "Gene" Laws and wife Brenda; and sister, Evelyn Miller and husband Bobby all of Westminster. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Alex, Eli, and Ashton Moore, Max Murphy, Jessica Kelley, and Morgan and Emily Kelley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Roger Ramey. A graveside service will be held 2:30 pm, Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Old Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 prior at Sandifer Funeral Home. The family is at the residence.
