Susan Diane Ainley Orange Park, Florida Obituary

Susan Diane Ainley

Susan Diane Ainley, 68, of Orange Park, FL passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 3rd, 2021. She was born January 20th, 1953 to Bobby Bowman. Susan married the love of her life, Reginald Ainley, on July 1st, 1972, and together they raised two children, Keith and Laurel Ainley. Susan is survived in death by her husband Reginald, her son Keith Ainley of Jacksonville, her daughter Laurel Ainley and son in law Cheeba White of Orlando, and two silly granddogs Annie and Maddie. She is also survived by her sister Julie Leigh of Jacksonville. Susan was a loving wife and mother who lived by the mantra, family first. Her ability to see the world with a childlike wonderment was legendary in her neighborhood, making the Ainley house a fun place to play for all the neighborhood kids while Keith and Laurel were growing up. With her radiant smile, Susan brought happiness with her everywhere she went. Her ability to see the world from such a fun-loving perspective stayed with Susan her entire life. If you were ever lucky enough to have Susan put her personal touch into a gift she made for you, it is something you would cherish forever. Known for her exceptional creative skills, Susan was someone who always brought joy and excitement to any project she decided to tackle. With her rare combination of abilities to both envision and fabricate such unique creative concepts, Susan was able to work in various creative capacities over the course of her career, such as spending several years custom decorating the interior of quite a few people’s homes, a considerable amount of time designing and creating costumes and props for both the live theater and motion picture industries, and even cool things like helping design and then inventing the look of functioning animatronic robots for multiple theme parks. Susan Ainley is a beautiful soul, who’s version of “being bad” was having a margarita. She is deeply loved, and her presence in this world will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
