<p>Ralph Eugene Hudson, 78, of Danville went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 1:53am.&nbsp;He was born in Wynne, AR on July 31, 1943, the son of Joe Ray and Mozella Hudson.&nbsp;Ralph&#39;s battle with medical issues throughout the years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the health issues, he came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.</p> <p>Ralph is survived by his loving wife Peggy Hudson; children, Brady (Misty) Hudson, Angi (Troy) Dozier, Tully Bevan, Cali (Eddie) Brigman; grandchildren, Kevin (Malina) Dozier, Kady (Dustin) Duball, Cody (Tara) Dolbert, Cadin Dozier, Garrett Hudson; brothers, Bobby (Liz) Hudson, Buddy (Sandra) Hudson and sister, Sue Davis.&nbsp;</p> <p>He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe Ray and Mozella, his Aunt Nina and Uncle Ford Brice, and brother-in-law Sam Davis.</p> <p>Ralph graduated from Humble High School in Humble, TX where he made several lifelong friends before entering the United States Air Force. Upon leaving the military, Ralph joined the National Asbestos Workers Local 22 with his brother, Buddy, which he retired from in 2005.&nbsp; He was an avid hunter and fisherman who passed on his love of nature to his children and grandchildren. Ralph also enjoyed playing cards and games with his friends and family. Ralph was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.</p> <p>In honor of Ralph&rsquo;s wishes the family has called upon the care of Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois,&nbsp;3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834&nbsp;to follow through with his cremation.&nbsp;Services will be held at a later date.</p> <p>Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude&#39;s Children&#39;s Hospital or Shriners Children&#39;s Hospital.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Please join Ralph&rsquo;s family in sharing memories and photos on his tribute wall at&nbsp;www.sunsetfuneralhome.com</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
