Sally Powell Masters Obituary

Sally Powell Masters, 86 of Danville, died Saturday, December 4 at her home.

She was born, November 30, 1935 in Carbondale, PA., the daughter of Haydn and Betty (Burch) Powell.  She married Charles F. Masters, July 28, 1956. He proceeded her in death in July of 1998. 

Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Haydn (Christy) of Charleston, IL, a daughter Brenda Masters (Von) Lambert of White Heath, IL. Grandchildren, Jordan Nicole Masters of Denver, CO., Jaimi Justina (Ty) Lambert, of Spokane, WA, Jared Tyler (Sally) Lambert, of Seattle, WA, Jacob Dane (Jenelle) Lambert of Beech Park, IL , Dylan James Lambert of Boston, MA, Haydn Charles Lambert of Chicago, IL Brooke Elise (Kirk) Kepley of Charleston, IL , Blake Thomas (Jeana) Craft of Mattoon, IL.  Great Grandchildren: Ellie Lambert Walser, Olivia Lambert, Adelyn Lambert, William Lambert, Iris Craft, Brynlee Craft, Krew Kepley, and Kash Kepley.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Robert Haydn Powell. 

Mrs. Masters graduated from Carbondale High School in Carbondale, PA. She was retired from work as both a CNA and executive administrative assistant at the Polyclinic and for other Danville physicians.  She was 50+ year member of the First Presbyterian Church, Danville, IL, where she served as a Deacon, Elder, Chancel Guild Member, Sunday School Teacher, office volunteer, member of Rachel Circle, head of the facilities board and happily served in any task asked to do. She was a very active member of the Danville Kiwanis, as well as in her community at large. 

Funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Danville, IL on Saturday, Dec, 11, 2021.  Visitation will be at the church from 9:30am – 11:00am, with services immediately after with Reverend Ann Schwartz officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park, Danville, directly following the services. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Facilities Ministry.
