Doris Jean Archer

Doris “Jeanie” Archer, 80 of Louisville, passed away on Sunday, December 5th, 2021.

She was a longtime member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church and a current parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church. She was a member of the Association of Jeanne Jugan at Little Sisters of the Poor. Doris was also known by her family and friends as Momma Archer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Archer; her grandsons, Cooper and Parker Ellingsworth; her parents, Chester and Juanita Arnett; and her brother, Lonnie Arnett.

She is survived by her children, Lisa McDonald (Joe), Jamie Archer (Kelli), Larry Archer (Robin), Chris Archer (Angela), Jenny Ellingsworth (Jay), and Katie Archer; her grandchildren, Matthew (Jillian), Amanda, Austin, Emily, Jake, Aaron, Nick, Kate, Carter, Zac and Ryan Elizabeth, and one great granddaughter, Landry; one sister, Mary Daub (Leroy), her brother, David Arnett (Linda), her sister in law, Patricia Arnett; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 8th from 12 - 8 pm and 9 - 11 am Thursday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.

Her funeral Mass will Thursday,12 pm, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 7500 Tangelo Drive, Louisville, KY 40228, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
