Edward Robert Pindel, 83 of Moore, Oklahoma, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 2, 2021. Ed was born April 18, 1938, in Pittsburgh, PA. He met the love of his life, Nancy, there and married her on May 7, 1960.

Ed was employed by the Erie Lackawanna and Katy railroad as a freight salesman and later retired as a freight broker. He loved golfing, hunting, fishing, and softball, especially when joined by his best buddy, his son, Rich. He attended Rosh Pinah Messianic Synagogue where he ushered in each service with a blast on his shofar.

Ed never met a stranger, whether on the job, out on the golf course, or the softball diamond. He was always laughing, telling jokes, and never missed an opportunity to witness about his love for Jesus.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Julia Pindel, sisters Geraldine (Gerri) O’Donnell, Dolores (Babe) Santillo, and brother CPL Joseph (Sonny) Pindel (KIA in Korea, 1950).

Ed is survived by his loving wife, Nancy (Kessler); daughters Kim Dugan and husband Joe, and Lisa Harwood and husband Tyler, and son Rich Pindel and wife Kelly; grandchildren Justin Dugan and wife Gracie, Jennifer Parmenter and husband Ted, Elizabeth White and husband Colin, and Carly Stevens and husband Eric; great-grandchildren Joshua and Daniel Parmenter, Emery and Hadley Dugan, and Christopher White; as well as several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

A caring cremation has taken place under the care and direction of John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home & Chapel, and a memorial service will be held Sunday, December 12 at 2:30pm at Rosh Pinah Messianic Synagogue, 2600 NW. 55th Place, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
