Thelma “Sadie” Lucille Linger, 79, formerly of Jane Lew went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at John Manchin Sr. Health Care Center in Fairmont. She was born in Jane Lew on October 5, 1942, a daughter of the late James Russell Linger and Juanita Barnett Linger. In addition to her parents, Sadie was met at Heaven’s Gates by her four siblings: Virginia Morrison, Anna Lee Frazier, Ida Mae Butcher, and James Goodlow Linger; two nieces; and two nephews. Remembering her fun and easy-going nature are seven nieces; five nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. Sadie worked for the Jane Lew Glass Factory for a few years. She was a Methodist by faith. Sadie treasured family more than anything, which was evident as she spent her life as a caregiver for any of the family members that needed helping hand. Her hobbies included painting ceramics and listening to music. Sadie’s request for Cremation has been honored at Pat Boyle Funeral Home’s On-Site Crematory. A Private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
