It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of beloved wife, mother and friend Nicki Gayle Harris, aged 78. Nicki went to meet Our Beloved Father Sunday, December 5th,  at  Stillwater Medical Perry following a brief illness. She was born on October 9, 1943, in Carnegie, Oklahoma, the daughter of Cecil Dukes and Gracie Belle (Martin) Dukes.   She attended Carnegie schools graduating from high school in May of 1961.  She served as a baton twirler for the Carnegie High School Marching Band. 

 

She worked many years as a nurse’s aid and a hospice volunteer.  She was a devoted wife and mother who gave her time to her family.  She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and prayed with her husband every morning.  She enjoyed listening to Christian music and especially Billy Graham. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Helen Hicks and brother Bob Dukes both of Midland, Texas.  

 

She will be remembered by her loving husband of 60 years, Stacey of Perry Oklahoma,  and son Todd of Tulsa and daughter Wendi Barrett and husband Steve Barrett of Stillwater Oklahoma. She leaves behind a niece Carol Hicks of Midland Texas, as well as grandchildren Cole Kinnamon and wife Shailea of Edmond and Connor Kinnamon and girlfriend Audrey Adams of Stillwater.

She also was the loving great-grandmother of Emillia  Kinnamon of Edmond and Jax Kinnamon of Stillwater and of course her precious canine companions, Sweet Pea a Maltese Poodle mix and Snookems a Yorkie  Poodle mix of Perry.

 

We will be forever blessed by the  memory of your beautiful smile and loving spirit.  Rest in Peace.

 

The family has chosen to have a private celebration of her life.  Flowers can be sent to the funeral home.
