E. David Lilly, 91, of Martinsburg passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021 at his home. Born December 18, 1929 in Beckley, WV he was the son of the late Earl Ronald Lilly and Bessie Ventors Lilly. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he was a Staff SGT and served in WWII. He is survived by his partner, Melanie Mattingly, three children, Susan Fluharty, David Lilly and Autumn Lilly; six grandchildren, Ty, Elizabeth, Joann, Jacqueline, David, and Theresa; numerous great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Lilly. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jo Lilly; his second wife, Madaline Doutt; two brothers and one sister. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 12 noon at St. Leo Catholic Church in Inwood with Father Brian Crenwelge celebrant. Interment prayers will be said in St. Leo Cemetery.
