Jeffory Stinson

BARRINGTON NEW HAMPSHIRE: Jeffory A Stinson (59), of Covenant Way died
on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021; at home after a joy-filled night with close friends.

He was born on July 25th, 962 in Philadelphia PA; son of Kenneth B Stinson and Catherine A Kirwan (Bouvais).

As the son of an Army Major and later a child of divorce, Jeff’s childhood was spent in many different places around the United States. Many childhood memories were from Iowa where he enjoyed playing in the snow and was famously struck by lightening on an overcast day during a football game. In high school, Jeff, his mother and younger sister Joelle settled in New London, NH where he met his lifelong best friend Jeffrey Pratt. It was then that the Jeffs began playing guitar and writing songs together, a passion which would continue for the rest of his life. Unable to actually read music, Jeff was able to listen to anything and play it back which some would say is a rare gift.

After a brief stint in the United States Air Force that took him to Alexandria Louisiana, Jeff returned to NH and began working at Liberty Mutual, eventually work his way up from entry level to Networking Engineer, dedicating 25 years of his life to the company.

Jeff spent most of his time in his life making others laugh and feel as though they could confide in him. He was a terrific father, determined to stick around to help raise his daughter Jordan as he did not enjoy the same stability in his childhood. Wednesdays and every other weekend were spent joyously together at Nippo Lake Golf Club, Ayers Lake, eating sushi and playing guitar for his daughter. As an only child, in him she found both a father filled with wisdom (at times stern) and then later in life a great and irreplaceable friend.

Although he was not close with his own family other than Jordan, Jeff seemed to create a family unit of his own in the 30 years living three miles from Nippo Lake Golf Club. His wit, charm and often dark sense of humor made him a magnetic person—he will be truly missed by many.

Jeffory is survived by his daughter Jordan Bedell and her husband Kevin of Raymond NH and his granddaughter Eloise Bedell.

He was pre-deceased by his Father Kenneth Stinson, Sister Joelle Shepard and Mother Katherine Kirwan.

A Celebration of Jeff’s life will be held from 1-4PM at Nippo Lake Golf Club on Saturday January 22nd.
