Mrs. Nellie McClure, 87 of Mt. Vernon, passed from this life on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital. She was born in Mt. Vernon, KY on August 7, 1934 the daughter of Willie and Alice Robbins McFerron. She had been a homemaker and was a member of Blue Springs Church of Christ. She is survived by a son, Clinton McClure and wife Linda of Mt. Vernon; a daughter-in-law, Sandy McClure of Mt. Vernon; three grandchildren, Michael McClure and wife Kim, Jason McClure, and Katina Johnson, all of Mt. Vernon; three great grandchildren, Hannah Wilson and husband Mark, Abigail Johnson, and Dalton Johnson, all of Mt. Vernon; a great-great granddaughter, Elliana Wilson; a brother-in-law, Alvie McClure and wife Teddy of Mt. Vernon; and two sisters-in-law, Rita McFerron of Mt. Vernon, and Becky McClure of Indiana. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett McClure; a son, Ivan McClure; three brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services for Mrs. McClure will be conducted Saturday, December 11 at 1:00 PM at the Dowell & Martin Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Marcus Reppert and will be live-streamed.
